Metroid Ravenous is the next entry in the 2D Metroid series, and it was just revealed during today's Nintendo Direct. Seemingly set after the events of Metroid Dread, it shows Samus exploring an alien moon and gaining a new ability to drain energy from her foes. You can see the reveal trailer below.
