During a White House event with 9/11 first responders, President Trump shared a story of firemen lifting him up and carrying him to safety as he was in the U.S. Steel Building "right after" the terrorist attacks in New York. The president later clarified in a social media post that he was not at Ground Zero on the day of the collapse but did go "shortly thereafter."
