President Trump’s friend and special envoy Steve Witkoff and his son-in-law Jared Kushner have spent the day engaged in talks in Moscow, to reignite a deal to end Russia’s war with Ukraine.
Both Kyiv and Moscow said they would pause the fighting during the talks. Witkoff and Kushner are expected to meet President Putin this evening at the Kremlin, before heading off to Kyiv tomorrow for talks with President Zelenskyy.
