The National Park Service reports that Donald Trump’s proposed arch would adversely impact dozens of historic properties and sight lines, but says essentially that it’s OK because it cannot go elsewhere. Here’s an idea: Let’s not build it. It’s ugly, serves no purpose, has too many adverse effects and nobody but Trump wants it.
