For the four and a half years that have elapsed since Russia's invasion of Ukraine in 2022, an Antonov An-124 cargo jet has been stuck at Toronto Pearson International Airport. The huge aircraft belongs to the Russian charter and airfreight specialist Volga-Dnepr Airlines, and it was stranded upon its arrival in Canada after the nation closed its airspace to Russian aircraft.
