Andy Burnham has faced his first Prime Ministers Questions since taking office – and blamed rising borrowing costs on “turbulence on the global markets”.
Number 10 was keen to point out that Mr Burnham was “in lockstep” with the chancellor John Healy over the Government’s fiscal rules – as the Conservative leader Kemi Badenoch accused the Prime Minister of trying “to say yes to everyone”.
