The Kano State Centre for Disease Control (KNCDC) has engaged traditional rulers across the state to intensify community mobilisation for diphtheria vaccination and other vaccine-preventable diseases.
Daily Trust reports that the move followed a recent outbreak of diphtheria in communities in Rano Local Government Area and concerns over reported casualties from the disease.
The Director-General of KNCDC, Prof. Muhammad Adamu Abbas, met with district heads under the Kano Emirate Council in Kano
