Riggs Hotel DC Review: Inside A Former Bank Where The Boardroom Became My Suite Upgrade

Riggs Hotel in Washington, D.C. is a former bank across from the National Portrait Gallery, now a stylish GHA Discovery property with real history, warm service, and benefits that can stack through programs like Chase’s The Edit. I booked a stay and wound up in the hotel’s best suite — the old bank boardroom — making it one of the more interesting downtown D.C. hotel stays I’ve had lately.
