I saw a story recently on Hawaii News Now regarding new food items being served in school cafeterias. I love seeing more healthy choices in schools, but I was horrified to see that all the food items are served in disposable plastic or paper containers. This is irresponsible in every imaginable way, especially in light of the issues we are contending with regarding landfills.
