View at EarthSky Community Photos. | EarthSky friend Cecille Kennedy caught the eclipsed moon from Corvallis, Oregon, on August 27, 2026. Cecille wrote: “The Sturgeon full moon turned rusty reddish orange due to a deep partial lunar eclipse that covered approximately 96% of the moon in Earth’s umbral shadow.
