Girl, 8, and woman, 34, killed in separate Western Cape train incidents

An eight-year-old Vlottenburg Primary School pupil died after being struck by a train at Lynedoch station on Tuesday, while a 34-year-old woman was killed in a separate incident at Newlands station the following day. Police have opened culpable homicide cases in both matters.
