Cowichan-Malahat-Langford MP Jeff Kibble is calling on the federal government to fund a treatment-and-recovery facility on Vancouver Island, saying the region faces an urgent need for expanded access to addiction and mental-health care.
Kibble, the Conservative Party’s Shadow Minister for Defence Procurement, wrote to federal Health Minister Marjorie Michel, copying B.C. Health Minister Ravi Kahlon, urging Ottawa to establish dedicated funding for a Vancouver Island facility.
