A former fan-favorite NFL event has been eliminated.The Pro Bowl, formerly a tackle game, and more recently, a flag football and assorted competition event, will be discontinued, the NFL said in a statement released on Wednesday afternoon.Instead of a flag football game, the NFL will try to elevate the status of what it means to be elected a Pro Bowler.
