Although a blend ofThe Umbrella AcademyandLegion might sound risky, one DC series on HBO Max perfectly combined these two shows for a blackly comic R-rated treat. Even viewers who didn't love HBO Max’s Titans would at least have to concede that the show tried something genuinely new with its superhero setup. The series could have been another forgettable PG-13-rated superhero outing, but instead took a risk with a gritty, gory R-rated story.
