Rose Lavelle exited Gotham FC's match Sunday, Aug. 23 against Angel City with an apparent head injury, with Mandy Freeman replacing the United States women's national team midfielder in the 37th minute of the contest.The substitution was made under the league's concussion protocol after Lavelle hit her head on the ground after a collision.
