The two police officers who were killed in last night’s crash on the A66 were named shortly before we came on air.
The Cleveland Chief Constable described them as brave officers who had been serving the community – calling it an unimaginable loss.
The Prime Minister Andy Burnham said he was “devastated” – and joined police in urging people to avoid speculation about what happened.
