Dr. David Morens, a former senior adviser to Dr. Anthony Fauci, pleaded guilty Tuesday, Aug. 18, to conspiracy to defraud the United States in connection with concealing federal records during the COVID pandemic.
Morens was a long-time official at the National Institute of Allergy and Infectious Diseases (NIAID). He worked with NIAID for 20 years and served as a senior adviser in the Office of the Director from 2006 to 2022.
