Mpumalanga police arrested a suspect and seized a Volvo truck carrying 49 bags of suspected dagga worth more than R4 million during a border-control operation at the Oshoek Port of Entry.
The arrest took place at about 1:30am on Monday, 17 August 2026, on the South African arrival side from the Kingdom of Eswatini.
Police spokesperson Captain Mpho Nonyane-Mpe said officers were conducting routine searches when they stopped the truck.
