The Prime Minister's Citizen Assistance and Relief in Emergency Situations Fund (PM CARES Fund) had a total corpus of ₹8,452 crore by the end of financial year 2024-25, according to audit statements released on Monday.
The fund received ₹1,162.92 crore as donations from within and outside the country in 2023-24 and 2024-25 but spent only ₹16.47 crore during this period.
Nearly 93% of the total funds were held as fixed deposits at the end of FY25.
