Star Alliance and HSBC in Australia launched an innovative product in 2022 (read more here and here) that let consumers earn Star Alliance Points, which they could convert to miles with 7 airlines.
The product will cease to exist on November 18, 2026, as HSBC winds down its consumer retail business in Australia (they have exited quite a few countries), and it seems all credit card products issued by the bank are being terminated.
