Hyderabad: The TDP-led NDA government in Andhra Pradesh spent around Rs 3,095 crore in a year on ‘Stree Shakti’, which provides free bus travel to women, according to a press release issued on Friday. The scheme, which was introduced last year on August 15, completed a year on Saturday. It has received an overwhelming response from women, with an average of 24 lakh women travelling every day.
