The rain couldn’t slow Fuerza Regida down. This past Friday, with the skies opening over Queens, the Grammy-nominated música mexicana powerhouse stepped onto the stage at a sold-out Citi Field for the final stop of its historic “This Is Our Dream Stadium Tour.” What could have been a damp ending to an otherwise iconic stadium run became a victory lap. As thousands of fans packed the ballpark, Fuerza Regida turned Citi Field into a pulsing collision of música mexicana, hip-hop, and Latin culture.
