PROGRESO, Yucatán — Cruise tourism in Yucatán experienced a strong surge during the first half of 2026, registering a 14.3% increase in cruise ship arrivals compared to the same period last year, according to data released by the state’s Ministry of Tourism Development (SEFOTUR).
Between January and June 2026, the port of Progreso welcomed 96 cruise ships, up from 84 arrivals recorded during the first six months of 2025.
