Burghausen, Germany to invest €27m to build geothermal heating network

The city of Burghausen in Bavaria, Germany and local utility Energie Burghausen GmbH (EBG) have approved an investment of EUR 27 million for the implementation of the Burghausen geothermal heating network. This follows last year’s heat supply agreement with Naturwärme Kirchweidach-Halsbach, which sets the framework for the supply of geothermal heat from the Kirchweidach-Halsbach geothermal heating plant.
