Driver claimed speeding would dry his freshly washed sedan.

Canadian police clocked the car at 111 km/h in a 60 zone.

Excessive speed resulted in a ticket and a seven-day impound.

A freshly washed car might sparkle in the driveway, but according to one Canadian driver, it apparently belongs on the highway at nearly twice the speed limit. That’s the explanation police say they received after stopping a motorist who was clocked traveling at 111 km/h (69 mph) in a 60 km/h (37 mph)
