A Facebook commenter has raised concerns about whether South Africa’s Older Persons Grant is sufficient to cover basic living costs. Nola Van Loggerenberg wrote that “the government is not worried that the old age pensioners are suffering,” adding that “everything in South Africa is so expensive that old age pensioners just cannot afford it.”
