The Springboks and their arch-rivals England have enjoyed a rich history when it comes to Tests over the years – dating back as far as 1906.



The first Test between the two countries took place at Crystal Palace in London on Saturday, 8 December 1906 – a little under 120 years ago.



The match ended in a 3-3 draw.



Springbok name was coined



That fixture was the last on South Africa’s first official international tour.
