Drilling of a well for a future geothermal heat and power project in Kiskunhalas, Hungary has reached the target reservoir at a depth of 1940 meters, ahead of the target 2400 meters. Plans already underway for the drilling of a second well.
Construction work for the geothermal drilling project in Kiskunhalas was started in March 2026, while drilling commenced by May.  This will be the first geothermal project of MVM Zöld Generáció Zrt (MVM Green Generation), a subsidiary of Hungarian power compa
