Evacuation alert rescinded for 74-hectare wildfire west of Princeton

An evacuation alert for properties near the Grasshopper Mountain wildfire west of Princeton has been lifted, the Regional District of Okanagan-Similkameen (RDOS) said.
Properties west of Tulameen on Lawless Creek Road and Tulameen River Road are no longer on alert, after an out-of-control wildfire sparked in the area on June 16.
The blaze is now “being held,” BC Wildfire Service (BCWS) said on June 19, after it grew to 74.2 hectares.
