MLAs pressure GNWT to transfer some Commissioner’s land to Yellowknife for development

The City of Yellowknife has long called for more land to develop and now some MLAs are pressuring the GNWT to transfer areas of Commissioner’s lands to the city for residential and commercial land supply.
This includes a 100-acre Frame Lake parcel identified by the city. The assembly requested an accelerated land transfer process that would occur in 12 months or less.
“This government must take action to deliver results on land supply, and fast,” said Range Lake MLA Kieron Test
