When General Motors dropped Android Auto and Apple CarPlay from its electric vehicles, people were slightly baffled and largely upset. The automaker decided that new Cadillac, Chevrolet, and GMC EVs wouldn't be able to use the immensely popular phone mirroring software and would instead be forced to log in to their car and use the Google built-in system and Android apps (and data).
