Popular fruit vendor killed in Montego Bay

ST JAMES, Jamaica — A well-known fruit vendor was shot dead in Montego Bay, St James, Saturday night.

The deceased has been identified as 42-year-old Kelvin Pyne, a resident of Orange in the parish.

Reports are that Pyne's body was found about 11:30 pm on Miriam Way in the city. The body was seen lying face down with gunshot wounds. He was taken to hospital, where he was pronounced dead.

The St James police are investigating.
