Are doctors healthier than the rest of us? That’s the question at the heart of a new long-term study being carried out by Birkbeck and the UK Medical Schools Council.
It hopes to discover why medics appear to have lower rates of chronic illness, despite reporting high levels of stress, and how improving wellbeing can keep doctors in the NHS.
We join medical students taking part in the study, during a surgery at the Queen Alexandra Hospital in Portsmouth.
