The Provincial Police Commander (PPC) of Morobe, Chief Superintendent Samson Siguyaru, has called on communities in remote areas to change their attitude towards government authority, saying lasting peace depends on cooperation and respect for public systems.
His comments followed a peace and reconciliation ceremony in Sialum, Tewai-Siassi District, where rival groups surrendered firearms and traditional weapons after earlier clashes.
