Bulk carrier struck by 'unknown projectile' near Qatari waters






The United Kingdom Maritime Trade Operations (UKMTO) said a bulk carrier was struck by an “unknown projectile” in the Gulf, about 23 nautical miles northeast of Doha.

The agency said the vessel reported a small fire following the incident, which was later extinguished.

UKMTO said there were no casualties and no environmental damage was reported.

The incident comes amid heightened tensions
