In Wales, the results were even more bleak for Labour, with Plaid Cymru ending 100 years of Labour rule.
All the seats in the Welsh Senedd have been counted, Plaid Cymru has 43 seats, Reform UK has 34, while Labour drops to just 9.
Plaid Cymru’s leader Rhun ap Iowerth hailed the results as a new beginning and said his party will seek to form a minority government.
