Willson Kapi, a Rural Nursing Officer at Wara Mants Health Centre in the Jimi District, Jiwaka Province, the decision to specialise was born out of necessity. Frequently faced with life-or-death situations and limited backup, Kapi realised that advanced skills were the only way to bridge the gap in one of Papua New Guinea’s most remote regions. Now a graduate with a Bachelor's in Emergency Nursing, Kapi is returning to the front lines with a renewed mission to serve the community.
