A wildfire reported near Howard Road in Hilliers is now “under control”, according to the BC Wildfire Service.
The Coombs-Hilliers, Dashwood, Errington, Parksville and Qualicum Beach fire departments responded to the blaze shortly after 1:30 p.m. on May 3.
BC Wildfire Service has been notified. The fire is within the Coombs-Hilliers Fire Department jurisdiction and BCWS is providing assistance with an initial attack crew and a response officer.
The fire is less than a hectare in size
