So it appears the GNWT is getting serious about its idea of hosting the 2035 Canada Winter Games. And it looks like they’re doing it the right way.
The territorial government announced on Wednesday that a working group has been established with the City of Yellowknife, Indigenous Sports Circle NWT, Sport North and the Yellowknife Chamber of Commerce all on board. That group will be looking into whether a bid to host the Games in the NWT would be “feasible.”
