The Nanaimo News Bulletin marks 38 years of age, perhaps not a special anniversary, but an anniversary all the same.
The newspaper had begun circulation on May 2, 1988, as part of Island Publishers, which at the time consisted of community papers in Courtenay, Parksville, Ladysmith, Duncan, Goldstream and Sidney.
At the time it began circulation, it had been around 16 pages with a full colour front page featuring Miss Nanaimo contestants Melinda Borbandy, and Julie Turner, with the press run bei
