NEW YORK — New York City Mayor Zohran Mamdani said Wednesday he would urge King Charles III to return a massive crown jewel to India if the two were to speak privately — a comment marking the first tinge of animosity in an otherwise warm stateside royal visit.
Mamdani is set to cross paths with Charles on Wednesday afternoon at a wreath laying ceremony in lower Manhattan.
