The United States Air Force (USAF) has flown a large armada of refueling tankers through the narrow Strait of Gibraltar in its efforts to reinforce the Middle East. Nine KC-46 Pegasus tankers were tracked and flew as three separate groups following a stopover in the Azores, carefully avoiding Spanish airspace when transiting the narrow Strait.
