For over four hours, Nanaimo city council heard a clear outcry from residents, all of which told it to reject a proposed rezoning requested by Harmac Pacific, near Cable Bay trail.
On Wednesday, April 22, the City of Nanaimo held the second part of its public hearing on the proposal for 74.71 hectares, of the 86-hectare property at 950 Phoenix Way, that would change it from rural resource to industrial, with site-specific provisions over its use, allowed density and lot coverage.
