Power out for more than 2,000 from Vernon to Lake Country

A power outage is affecting 2,165 customers from Vernon to Lake Country late Thursday afternoon.
Power has been off since 4:44 p.m., according to BC Hydro. Crews have been assigned, and the cause is under investigation.
The affected area is south of Old Stamp Mill Road and north of Hebbert Road, stretching from the southern tip of Vernon and the Okanagan Landing area to the northern tip of Lake Country.
BC Hydro has not yet provided an estimate for when power will be restored.
