After more than 15 years of gold mining in the Kivalliq region, Agnico Eagle Mines Ltd. is stretching its Meadowbank ore processing site for more years to come.
“The big story for 2025-2026 is the fact that we were able to extend the mine life of Meadowbank by an extra two years because we were going into closure in 2028, but now we’re able to extend that to 2030, which is great for the community,” said Christopher Adams, the company’s vice-president for Nunavut operation
