Completed in 1981, the striking Hill Road Flyover was designed to alleviate traffic congestion in the Shek Tong Tsui neighborhood by providing a bypass from the hillside directly down to the harbour. The flyover is, at parts, 5 or 6 storeys above Hill Road below, traveling 650 meters from its start on Pok Fu Lam Road, snaking down to Connaught Road West.
