Iraq reopens Syria border route, boosting trade and fuel exports

Baghdad (IraqiNews.com) – To relieve pressure on gasoline exports by moving shipments to overland routes, Iraq has reopened the Rabia border crossing with Syria after more than ten years.



The Nineveh provincial border, blocked since the Islamic State’s ascent in 2014, will reopen commercial trade between the two nations and allow petroleum to be delivered into Syria by truck.



With its restoration, all border crossings between Iraq and Syria are now operational, providing Baghda
