Baghdad (IraqiNews.com) – Following internal debates focused on breaking a long-standing leadership stalemate, Iraq’s governing Coordination Framework has chosen Bassem Al-Badri as its prime minister nominee.
Al-Badri, the president of Iraq’s Supreme National Commission for Accountability and Justice and a prominent member of Nouri al-Maliki’s Islamic Dawa Party, emerged as the bloc’s pick after talks among key groups.
