Car trade-in scheme to launch this year with 20,000 quota

The government is set to roll out a car trade-in scheme later this year to encourage motorists to switch to electric and hybrid vehicles, with an initial quota of up to 20,000 units on a first-come, first-served basis, a Finance Ministry source said on Friday.
