Warming centre opens in Lake Country due to gas outage

Central Okanagan Emergency Management (COEM) is aware of a FortisBC natural gas outage affecting parts of Lake Country, Kelowna, and the Okanagan Indian Band (Duck Lake IR7).
To support residents who may be impacted, the Emergency Operations Centre (EOC) has been activated at Level 1. As part of this response, a warming centre is open this evening at 9 p.m. until further notice at the Oyama Community Club, 15710 Oyama Road, to provide temporary comfort for those affected by the outage.
